• attended regular meetings with CoGG representatives to review the data and discuss the progress of this proof of concept ( POC ).
In order to measure the effectiveness and success of the solution provided , we identified the key factors that catalysed the projects efficiency and overall success :
• The engagement of DCSM enabling CoGG to have a defined communication channel all through the planning , implementation and monitoring phases of the project . DCSM oversaw the project and ensured full delivery of each supplier ; The utilisation of the COGG Council ’ s internal network to connect devices ;
• The creation of defined zones consisting the mixed technology using both highly graded access points and Fortelr Devices ;
• Data scanned being transmitted to a reliable and secure server , allowing for filtering and adjustments to be applied . Such adjustments were based on Bluetooth and WiFi data correlations to verify the accuracy of numbers and apply it as an ongoing script and checking rule to ensure cleaner data flowing to SiteLantern ;
• The customised dashboards created using SiteLantern allowed more relevant reports to be produced according to individual zone requirements ;
• Collection of the data by the Fortelr Devices
This graph shows the trends for 2 days over the Christmas period compared to the average unique visits outside of the Christmas period .
The second graph shows visits during the New Year period which also shows strong trends in comparison to the average .
Being able to provide trend lines such as this allows business decisions to be made with evidence as opposed to gut feeling .
