PLUMBING AND HEATING SECTOR: RELIABLE GRADES CERTIFIED FOR DRINKING WATER The plumbing and heating sector is also at the centre of RadiciGroup’ s development strategy. The company offers grades approved for contact with drinking water, ranging from PA6.6( Radilon A RVXXXRKC2), PA6.12( Radilon ® DT RVXXXRKC2), special PA Radistrong ® Aroma RVXXXRKC2 up to polyphthalamides( PPA) Radilon ® Aestus T1 RVXXXRKC. Complying with the most recent European standards, these materials offer high performance in terms of dimensional stability, chemical resistance and durability— all essential characteristics in a sector where the lifecycle of components can exceed 50 years
SUSTAINABILITY: NOT A GOAL, BUT A PREREQUISITE In all application sectors, sustainability is now an enabling condition. CLOSED-LOOP RECYCLING AND EUROPEAN REGU- LATIONS: A NEW CHALLENGE FOR POST-CONSUM- ER MATERIALS The issue of closed-loop recycling stands out among the new challenges, as it involves the reuse of materials from end-of-life applications in the same area as the original material. The draft European regulations under discussion for the automotive sector require that, in defining the composition of new materials, a significant percentage must come from post-consumer waste recycling, and part of it from closed-loop recycling. RadiciGroup is also getting ready for this scenario thanks to over forty years of experience in mechanical recycling and an industrial organisation that, in many cases, is already able to manage plastic waste recovery processes.
