this scenario, engineering polymers confirm their role as key materials for weight reduction, thermal management, electrical safety and metal replacement. RadiciGroup offers specific solutions for power control, conversion and distribution systems, such as connectors, bus bars, inverter and converter components, etc., with materials coloured orange for enhanced visibility and suitable for meeting stringent industry requirements. Among the most interesting new products are the polyamide 6.10 grades that can be co-extruded with metal, also ideal for very long and complex-shaped components, and materials compatible with dielectric fluids, which more and more often are taken into consideration as a valid alternative for battery cooling. Another area of development are thermal |

management solutions: with lower operating temperatures but longer exposure times than vehicles equipped with traditional engines, electric vehicles require materials ensuring high chemical, thermal and mechanical performance. RadiciGroup meets these demands with products such as Radilon ® D, a partly bio-based PA6.10 that proves ideal against stress-cracking and absorbs much less water than other aliphatic polyamides. For applications at operating temperatures around 80-90 ° C, PA6-based formulations have already been introduced, such as the Radilon ® S RV350RG which withstands prolonged contact with fluids used for air conditioning parts in electric cars. In addition, experimental flame-retardant, halogen- and red phosphorusfree polymers from the Radiflam ® HF range have already been tested with encouraging results.

HYBRID SOLUTIONS AND ELECTRICALLY NEUTRAL MATERIALS In the field of power electronics— i. e. inverters, converters, electronic control units, BMS, etc.— RadiciGroup offers advanced solutions that integrate insulating, thermal and electromagnetic shielding properties. These include electrically neutral materials with stabilisers alternative to inorganic additives, and hybrid solutions that combine engineering polymers with metal parts including thin-walled sheets: an innovative proposal aimed at cutting costs and weight compared to solutions in die-cast aluminium and other metals, without however affecting performance.
NEW MATERIALS FOR THE E & E AND HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE SECTORS Not just automotive. RadiciGroup is also strengthening its presence in the electrical and electronics sector, expanding its range with new families of materials. One example is the halogen-free PBT Radiflam ® B HF, which represents an important step forward in product innovation with polymers other than polyamide. The Group intends to continue its strategy for expanding the range of hitech materials in order to meet application requirements in a timely manner. In the household appliances sector, new generation products such as the Radiflam ® A RVXXX HFG1 and the Radiflam ® S RVXXX HFG guarantee a GWIT ≥ 775 ° C as well as compliance with the IEC 60335-1 standard.
