INCREASINGLY ADVANCED AUTOMATION Among the key innovations unveiled during the Pegaso Industries Summer Meeting were the new generation of dosing, feeding and drying equipment developed by Plastic Systems. Their goal is to improve accuracy, operational simplicity and energy efficiency through next-generation touchscreen interfaces, compact architectures, simplified maintenance and increasingly automated management of process parameters. Special attention was paid to the new loss-inweight systems, designed to ensure extremely accurate control of material flow during the extrusion process, thus contributing to consistent product quality and reducing scrap. |
THE CONNECTED FACTORY IS BASED ON DIGITALI- SATION The growing role of digitalisation was a major feature of the event. Through the Easy Way platform, Plastic Systems offers a system capable of connecting the machines to ERP software, transforming production data into an operational tool. Materials, recipes, consumption, batches and process parameters can be monitored and managed in real time, improving traceability and making it possible to automatically adapt to production needs. This vision fits perfectly into the smart factory vision, where data flow between machines and management systems, helping optimise productivity and efficiency. |
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ENTERS AUXILIARY SYS- TEMS During the Pegaso Industries Summer Meeting, the potential of artificial intelligence applied to auxiliary systems was also highlighted. Continuous analysis of operating data enables the automatic optimisation of process parameters and the introduction of predictive maintenance functions capable of identifying anomalies and potential failures in advance. The goal is to reduce machine downtime, enhance system reliability and support operators in managing production lines through increasingly intelligent tools.
TECHNOLOGIES AT THE SERVICE OF RECYCLING Particular attention was also devoted to the circular economy and technologies developed for the processing of recycled materials. The solutions presented at the event include new drying, dedusting, pneumatic conveying and dosing systems designed to handle flakes, regrind and post-consumer polymers— i. e. materials that require accurate control of moisture content and dust as well as feeding continuity.
A GROUP STRATEGY More than simply introducing new products, the Pegaso Industries Summer Meeting epitomised the group’ s industrial strategy: leveraging the expertise of its various companies to offer integrated solutions capable of meeting the evolving needs of plastics processors. Automation, digitalisation, energy efficiency, intelligent data management and the growing implementation of artificial intelligence outline a vision in which the factory of the future is already a reality under construction.
