For forty years BD Plast Filtering Systems( based in Bondeno, just outside Ferrara) has been designing and manufacturing screen changers enabling the extrusion industry to process clean polymers. This is a less visible but crucial technological niche: from packaging to pipes, blown film and compounds, the contaminants must be separated from the melt without interrupting the production flow.
A FAMILY STORY The story of the Boicelli family began amidst the postwar years with Dante Beppino and his agricultural trailers and continued in the 1960’ s with his son Bruno, who recognised the potential of plastics. In 1986, Bruno and his son Dante founded BD Plast with a clear objective in mind: designing and manufacturing all component in-house. Flexibility and customisation transformed the company from a small Italian enterprise into a strategic supplier to leading German manufacturers and, since 2000, to the whole of Europe, Canada and the United States. Clarissa Frazzoli( CFO & CIO), Dante Boicelli’ s wife, played a key role in the company’ s digitalisation and financial development. In 2021, Dino Boicelli joined the company representing the third generation of the family. He is now Corporate Manager and a member of the Board of Directors alongside other members of the founder family.
PRODUCT RANGE AND EXPERTISE BD Plast manages the entire process— from engineering to installation at the customer’ s premises— relying on integrated CAD / CAM systems and an advanced production department. The product range includes manual, hydraulic and continuousflow screen changers, static filters, diverter valves, adapters, elbows, extrusion melt pipes and accessories.
