Giflex: Neni Rossini Appointed New President
Neni Rossini, President of Giflex( Flexible Packaging Group)
Neni Rossini is the new President of Giflex( Flexible Packaging Group) for the 2026-2029 three-year term. The election took place this morning in Rome during the Association’ s private General Assembly. Rossini, President of SIT Group and a third-generation entrepreneur, succeeds Alberto Palaveri, who completed his second term.“ I accept this role with great honor and responsibility. I represent a dynamic and competent industry, ready to face the profound transformations in the sector,” declared the newly elected President, thanking Palaveri for strengthening the sector’ s credibility both in Italy and abroad. Having served as Giflex Vice President since 2020 and heading the Sustainability and Communication committees, Rossini will lead an association representing 80 % of the Italian flexible packaging market for the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical sectors. The national flexible packaging sector currently reports record figures: over 12,000 employees, production of 450,000 tons, and a turnover exceeding 4.4 billion euros. Under the new presidency, Giflex aims to consolidate its technical authority in the political debate on sustainability and industrial challenges.
Italian Packaging Institute: Osvaldo Bosetti( Goglio) Appointed New President
Osvaldo Bosetti( Industrial Director of Packaging Europe at Goglio Group) has been elected President of the Italian Packaging Institute( Istituto Italiano Imballaggio) for the 2026-2028 two-year term. Bosetti succeeds Alessandra Fazio, who was warmly thanked by the assembly for the four years of growth and consolidation that laid the groundwork for the institution’ s future. Supporting the new President in this endeavor will be vice presidents Luca Benvenuto Fornaroli( Fimat), representing the manufacturing side, and
Alessandro Ruggeri( Barilla), representing the brand side. The program of the new presidency of the Italian Packaging Institute will develop along a clear strategic line. It focuses primarily on programmatic continuity and advocacy in the spirit of the previous administration, with the goal of strengthening the Institute’ s representation before institutions and key industry players. Great attention will also be dedicated to the financial sustainability of companies, guiding them in risk management, capital allocation, and compliance with European regulations. Finally, a central role will be assigned to innovation and artificial intelligence, viewed as strategic allies to convert corporate data into concrete decisions, optimize investments, and anticipate market trends.
