Developed for the gearboxes delivered worldwide by Zambello Group , the ZMS ( Zambello Monitoring System ) is an electronic system that measures the vibrational values and efficiency of lubricating oil , extending its useful life and preventing costly downtimes , and therefore having beneficial knock-on effects throughout the extrusion supply chain .

The leadership position achieved by Zambello Group in the design and manufacturing of gearboxes for extruders , in addition to being a pride of Made in Italy , allows the company headquartered in Magnago ( near Milan ) with production plants in Magnago and Lendinara ( near Rovigo ), to make new and constant investments in production and sales operations as well as in R & D activities . The recent successes of Zambello include the development of ZMS ( Zambello Monitoring System ), an electronic system of the last generation that enables the user to monitor the gearbox vibration and the conditions of the lubricating oil inside it by means of special sensors . ZMS helps prevent costly unexpected downtimes by increasing the service life of the entire kinematics of the gearbox with a specific focus on gears and rolling bearings . „ The ZMS system “, explains Roberto Valentini , export sales manager of the Zambello Group , „ was developed and tested during 2019 . Through the control of vibration levels and the conditions of the lubricating oil , we measure the health of the gearbox : these are two really important parameters for ensuring constant efficiency over the years and monitoring the state of all gearbox components . The system can be installed on , or immediately near , the gearbox . In this way we bring our gearbox into the world of Industry 4.0 .
