INVESTMENTS IN BIO-SUSTAINABLE COMPOUNDS Currently Fainplast is investing heavily in the field of bio-sustainable and halogen-free compounds ( PE + EVA ) on which the company is planning to allocate around 2 million euros over the year . “ For the sake of clarity , however , it must be said that there are some sectors where the inclusion of bio-based elements in material formulas is technically feasible while their use is not recommended in other sectors where a drop in performance could lead to a decrease in the safety of the final application . In any case , our attention to the environment is really total in the sense that , in addition to the development of increasingly sustainable compounds , we also pay particular attention to our environmental footprint : for example we have adopted an energy generation system at our site with refrigeration power recovery , while this year we will install photovoltaic panels for a total capacity of about 3 MW ” Fratini concluded . |
