MACHINERY [ Injection Moulding ]

Roto Lop RS 2000 F-6 : 6-station rotary press with vertical opening for solid silicone
A RANGE THAT IS ALWAYS UP TO DATE The range of machines in Presma ’ s catalogue is constantly updated and improved , ensures Canziani : “ For some time now all the classic large rotary machines have been the hybrid type , with a hydraulic part and a sizeable electrical part with regard to the drive screws . Instead , the small presses for bottle caps , for example , are mostly fully electric : initially they were hybrid and we were the first to propose the full electric version , evaluating it was more feasible because of the lower forces at play : we therefore proposed full electric machines for this application and , after some resistance due to the higher price , customers understood that in the end the savings are considerable , so much so that today we sell almost only these versions . Our hybrid machines include the very latest in hydraulics : for some applications we dare more while for others we are rather conservative , first of all for ensuring the best operating logic and secondly also because the savings would not be so evident . As a result , we decided not to introduce particular innovations on certain machine types . For the rest , we also continue to sell production cells including the robot . We have been operating in the tooling sector for several years to supply large European manufacturers who have
chosen our solutions and machines . For example , we have three important customers in Europe who are placing repeat orders for their production of handles and handgrips , even two or three colour . Presma entered this sector precisely because of the need for printing voluminous three colour items , in hard or soft material , therefore looking for solutions that would allow this particular moulding process in connection with the different cooling times required according to the product . The cell we propose has been able to solve this problem for of many companies that in the past used traditional machines which involve considerable investments , especially in moulds . Working on single three-colour machines , in fact , the very size of a single mould becomes a challenging aspect . Our multi-station design also guarantees greater flexibility , especially since it is possible to choose from several models and sizes , even from the same range . The need for frequent mould changes on a single machine is a real problem , so much so that years ago the cost of the mould change system was almost equal to that of a traditional mould . The market today says that even traditional two-colour machines cost a lot , so various customers are relying on us especially when they need high-tech machines for advanced sectors such as the automotive industry .”
In short , quality and reliability always pay off in the end , underlines Canziani : “ Thanks to the solidity of our machines , customers today recognize the value of Presma . A reward for our continuous search for new versions , because every machine here has its own history and is designed for every single need . A big difference that set us apart are the hours and hours of labour that we dedicate to every detail , checks , assemblies , fine-tuning , modifications and additions , always ensuring maximum availability .”
INNOVATIONS IN VIEW OF K 2022 A long-awaited showcase for the presentation of the latest technical innovations , concludes Canziani , will be the next K 2022 exhibition which will be running in October in Düsseldorf : “ We are preparing for the event , evaluating whether it is appropriate to exhibit certain machines because the transport of larger ones is unfeasible and many others are already known by customers . Moreover , since these are special solutions , a large slice of visitors would see only their curiosity satisfied . I am therefore thinking more of a stand that enhances the image of Presma , useful above all to meet established customers . We are now a wellknown company in all sectors where we operate and we already have enough orders to fill in .”
