WATER-RING AND UNDERWATER GRANULATORS The same principles apply in general to water-ring and underwater granulators , Raimondi concludes : “ The TM water-ring granulator and the new UW- TM underwater granulator are simple and compact systems ensuring excellent performance in terms of production rates while the cutting quality is suitable for the most popular types of plastics , e . g . ABS , PP , PC , PST , HD-PE , PE , POM , TPU , compostable or biodegradable resins etc . The main features of this range include compact size , optimisation of the working path , low operating pressure , the closed-loop water circuit in the versions with control unit and the blade holder with floating support to reduce blade wearing , as well as a self-regulation system for the blades with respect to the die thanks to a compression spring .
