six on five and we want to have an advantage on each play ,” Norris said . “ We have been hammering that concept home and making sure we are making the proper reads . We have talented guys around us . We were explosive in our scrimmage but we didn ’ t do some things well .”
Outside of Collier on the defense , AOA is going to need production from the other five guys as well .
One of the guys is sophomore Hudson Ramey .
Ramey played in all seven games for the Lions , picking up five fumbles and turning them into positive yards for AOA . Not to mention his 11 tackles for loss he racked up . The Lions do bring back 10 guys who played varsity-level defense but it may take them a couple of weeks to figure out everything .
“ Our pass rush is going to be the same and our linebackers are going to be the same ,” Norris said . “ We are moving people around the secondary . But if we can get guys to step up and complement , the secondary can be a solid unit .”
Alpha Omega Academy ’ s season will feature a nine-game slate with four of them being held at Alpha Omega Academy . The Lions will play in three district games to close the season .
