Spencer West is an astonishing person, he was born with a genetic disorder which cut off the bottom of his pelvis and down at only the age of five years old. Growing up, he was bullied for not having legs, but in high school he decided to become a cheerleader which made his bullies bully him even more. Spencer West has many biographies about him like a film called “Redefine Possible: The Story of Spencer West” which premiered in a film festival in Toronto of 2012. Spencer West accomplished many different and extraordinary things. One extraordinary thing he has done was climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with only his hands and his wheelchair on May 2012. In the spring of 2014, he participated in a 10 week road trip across Canada called “The We Create Change Tour.” The tour was to give thanks to the schools and corporations around the country of Canada. Spencer also frequently visits the Maasai Mara region in Kenya to continue his work at the Free The Children communities. Think thats amazing? He walked 187 kilometers in the time span of 11 days!!
