LET’ S DO BUSINESS
Stuart said:“ Jazmin’ s story is a brilliant example of resilience, determination and what can be achieved when you keep pushing forward.
“ Having followed her journey and seen what she has achieved this summer, I can’ t wait to hear her share her experiences with our business community in October.”
He added:“ Jazmin’ s story is exactly the kind of story we want to bring to our business community. Resilience is built through hard work and by staying focused when things don’ t go to plan. I know delegates are going to take a huge amount from hearing it first-hand.
“ We’ re expecting our biggest Let’ s Do Business crowd in the expo’ s history, and with two fantastic speakers, I am sure it will be a fantastic day.”
A record to build on
The ambition for an even bigger event follows a record-breaking Let’ s Do Business in 2025, when more than 1,000 local businesses came together at Uttoxeter Racecourse.
Leading Staffordshire entrepreneur Mo Chaudry opened the keynote programme last year with an address on high performance and business success, including behind-the-scenes insights into the sale of Waterworld.
He was followed by former Stoke City Women captain and Criminal Justice advocate Meg Bowyer and Stoke-on- Trent’ s first British middleweight champion, Nathan“ Hitman” Heaney. Both drew on their experiences in sport to explore leadership, resilience and the mindset required to perform under pressure.
Beyond the keynote stage, the exhibition brought together businesses from a wide range of sectors, showcasing products, services and innovations from across the county.
The size of the turnout reflected the appetite among businesses for opportunities to meet face-to-face, exchange ideas and build relationships with people beyond their established networks.
This year, the Chambers will seek to carry that momentum into an event supported by TopCashback, Stoke-on-Trent College, Michelin, Uttoxeter Racecourse, Business Lodge, Dougie Mac, Welfare Vans 4 Less, Midlands Air Ambulance and amb Insurance Services.
Their backing will help bring Staffordshire’ s business community together for another day of conversation, collaboration and opportunity.
New conversations and opportunities
The keynote sessions will provide two focal points for the day, but the appeal of Let’ s Do Business has always extended beyond the stage.
Its exhibitor stands will bring together organisations from across the county, while the wider event will give delegates the freedom to make connections, exchange ideas and learn more about the businesses operating around them.
For established companies, the Expo is an opportunity to strengthen their profile and begin new commercial conversations. For younger businesses and entrepreneurs, it can provide an introduction to a much wider network of potential customers, partners and advisers.
The involvement of sponsors including TopCashback, Stoke-on-Trent College and Michelin also underlines the breadth of support behind the event, while Uttoxeter Racecourse will once again provide the setting in which those connections can take place.
They will be joined in supporting the Expo by Business Lodge, Dougie Mac, Welfare Vans 4 Less, Midlands Air Ambulance and amb Insurance Services.
The event offers something that cannot always be replicated through an email exchange or online meeting: the opportunity to have an unexpected conversation.
A meeting at an exhibition stand or an introduction over coffee may uncover a supplier, customer or collaborator that a business had not previously considered. The real value of the day may only become clear in the weeks and months that follow.
After breaking its attendance record in 2025, Let’ s Do Business now returns with the ambition of bringing an even larger audience together.
Let’ s Do Business 2026 takes place at Uttoxeter Racecourse from 10am until 4pm on Thursday, 8 October. Delegate tickets are free and available through the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce website.
