One of the top questions I got when I worked for DotComSecrets and taught at their seminars and workshops was the age-old question : “ How do I find a copywriter and what do I look for in a good one ?”

Well , of course , I would come out and tell them they wouldn ’ t have to worry about that if they just hired me . J But instead of turning this into a blatant self-promotional piece since you ’ re paying good money to get this awesome newsletter , I ’ m going to reveal the top things you should look for when hiring a copywriter . So here goes !
1 . Make Sure They Have Samples
Never hire a copywriter without seeing samples of their work . This gives you a good idea of how well your copywriter writes ... and if their writing resonates with you . Every copywriter has a distinct “ writing style ” and if you find a copywriter whose writing gives you goosebumps , then you ’ ve found your person !
Typically you only need to see four to five samples of the copywriter ’ s work to get an idea whether or not they really “ get it ” when it comes to copy . Make sure you see samples that are similar to what you need
