Since your sales copy has a direct impact on your conversion rate, it’ s essential to hire the right person the first time. Use these four tips to make the process easier.- by Kevin Hill, Professor of High Response
One of the top questions I got when I worked for DotComSecrets and taught at their seminars and workshops was the age-old question:“ How do I find a copywriter and what do I look for in a good one?”
Well, of course, I would come out and tell them they wouldn’ t have to worry about that if they just hired me. J But instead of turning this into a blatant self-promotional piece since you’ re paying good money to get this awesome newsletter, I’ m going to reveal the top things you should look for when hiring a copywriter. So here goes!
1. Make Sure They Have Samples
Never hire a copywriter without seeing samples of their work. This gives you a good idea of how well your copywriter writes... and if their writing resonates with you. Every copywriter has a distinct“ writing style” and if you find a copywriter whose writing gives you goosebumps, then you’ ve found your person!
Typically you only need to see four to five samples of the copywriter’ s work to get an idea whether or not they really“ get it” when it comes to copy. Make sure you see samples that are similar to what you need
