How QR Codes Work
This is one of the coolest shiny objects that I have ever seen online and it ’ s about to take over the world . They are called QR codes . It ’ s similar to your old school bar code , but you can use these to redirect people to any website , phone number , add a v-card content , compose an email or text a message . Then someone can use a QR reader on their smart phone to scan the code , and then be taken to the message the creator wanted to send you . At first glace you may be thinking that doesn ’ t sound too cool , but let me show you one way we recently used it .
One of my continuity programs you may be a part of is called the “ Internet Marketing Illuminati .” We were trying to think of good stick strategies to help retain our members , so each month we send out a postcard ( you can see it on page 33 ). When members scan the QR code , they are taken to a secret video message from me . Go ahead … try it . Scan the code on the postcard with your QR reader ( if you don ’ t have one you can download them free on any smart phone ).
