Learning Curve Group offers free sessions for businesses to learn about apprenticeships
National training provider , Learning Curve Group ( LCG ), has launched a new initiative to help businesses understand how high quality training programmes can support both non-levy and levy paying businesses .
LCG are offering both virtual and inperson sessions to any employer who wants to explore fully funded training opportunities for their workforce .
The award-winning training provider supports over 4,500 employers across the country with high quality training solutions to support their business ambitions .
Businesses and employers can speak directly with a member of the apprenticeship team about their challenges and discover the opportunities that training can bring to their workforce . LCG will develop training solutions that are specialised to suit every business .
“ Apprenticeships are a valuable option for both the apprentice and the employer ,” said LCG ’ s commercial director Steve Morris .
“ They are a cost-effective way to help build and grow a strong workforce as they help to develop an individual ’ s skills , knowledge and understanding required to fit key roles within an organisation .
“ High quality training helps employers to build and sustain a long-term edge in their industry whilst also allowing individuals to take the first steps in their career or upskill in their current profession .”
Unlike in the past , apprenticeships are no longer exclusively for school leavers who need an alternative route to A Levels or university – they are now accessible for people of all ages , from entry level to CEO .
Many businesses are now utilising apprenticeships to build a loyal workforce who are trained with specific skills needed to keep up to date with new technologies or practices within their sector .
Steve said : “ It is important in many industries that employees refresh their knowledge and undergo training in new and developing areas .
“ Apprenticeships can narrow the skills gaps in any business , meaning that employees will be equipped with the insight and skills needed for an organisation to grow and innovate .
“ Employers can enrol existing staff on to a relevant apprenticeship programme , no matter their prior attainment – as long as they can demonstrate that there is a business need , where additional skills and a greater understanding will be achieved .”
Steve added that apprenticeships are a great way of training and development for both businesses and employees , as they will still fulfil the role of their job while they learn .
“ By the end of the qualification , they will have gained the knowledge needed to enhance the business from within ,” he said .
“ When employers train their staff , they become better learners . With an agile , fast-learning team , businesses can work more efficiently and effectively than their competition .”
As a market-leading apprenticeship provider , LCG supports businesses to employ apprentices and transform their workforce .
Steve explained : “ But we don ’ t just state that , we show it by practicing what we preach .”
LCG adopted the ‘ grow your own ’ approach and invested in its own Academy to house all learning and development across the business .
The business enrolled management staff onto Level 5 operational management programmes to enhance their skills in leading their teams .
The training provider also recruited over 40 school-leavers into apprenticeship programmes to support a variety of business areas and give young people an opportunity to begin their career .
Steve said : “ Since investing in staff development , LCG has grown to become one of the largest training providers in the country , and we ’ re on track to become the training provider of choice by 2025 .
“ We have built a strategic growth plan to grow the business by doubling our number of employees and increasing turnover .”
LCG offers a wide range of apprenticeship programmes from level 2 to level 5 .
Courses are available in digital skills , business , management , care , property and more .
