Soccer

Sports impacted my high school experience tremendously as it introduced me to new friends that I may have never met and it also made me realize that school was very important not just other things in life.

Sports made High school a whole lot better for me. I played varsity soccer since freshmen year and then Varsity waterpolo junior- senior year. Playing sports in high school introduced to a lot pf new people that I would'nt have met with ought playing sports.

Tennis

Joining tennis has taught me that if you work hard and you dedicate yourself into what you're passionate for, you can never fail.

There weren't many people my year playing tennis so it was a different setting with a different group of people. What pushed me to play sports is frankly the idea of leading a team and being a mentor to others.

Badminton’s season has come to an end with great results throughout. Senior Night happened on April 26 when our Silver Creek Raiders went against the Piedmont Hills Pirates.

The game started with the seniors being presented with their posters and after warm-up, our seniors were introduced and given gifts. For the entire game, the Raiders’ cheers filled the gym. The efforts of the other team members showed through their amazing senior posters and gifts with sixteen seniors honored that night. Five of those seniors, Dorothy Pham, Huyen Duong, Bellisa Bui, Vyvyan Nguyen, and Michelle Tran, have been with the team their entire high school career.

The team’s bond was strong until the end. Brian Chau ‘19, a first year player, said, “I have learned so much from the seniors and it’s going to feel empty without them being there with us. The season for me was great. I love how close that we have gotten and how much we mean to each other.”

Senior Charles Cheng ‘17 echoes Chau’s comments about the team. “I really will miss the spirit on the team and how they just give off so much energy.”
