How did sports make an impact on you and your high school experience?

Track and Field

Track & Field really helped me get through high school. I was always very stressed about school and having something to look forward to after school really helped. I love track because not only does it make me happy, it has taught me alot. My coaches and fellow team mates taught me many things and helped me become more open and outgoing.

It pushed my limits and got me out of my comfort zone. The results from sports pushed me throughout the season. I knew that if I tried and pushed as hard I did I would get the results I wanted.

Cross Country

Because I joined cross country starting my freshman year, it definitely helped me in the social aspect of high school. Unlike others who might have had trouble adjusting or finding new friends during the start of high school, I felt as if that was instantaneously solved, because me and my teammates instantly clicked with one another. Along with that, throughout the years my hard work has been rewarded in life lessons that I will always hold onto and for that, I'll always be thankful.

My four years in cross country and track have introduced me to so many people that I wouldn't have met, especially upperclassmen when I was younger. The friendships I've gained through sports have been ones that I've been able to maintain even as people graduate and go on to college, and I'd like to think that it's because of the bond we formed while suffering through hard workouts and celebrating our victories together.

Sports helped develop me both physically and mentally. Without it I would of been less social and would have less motivation. I wanted to see myself improve and become a better person. Because of that, my personal goals and my teammates pushed me to do sports.

Cross country and track have taught that me you have to always work hard on your goal in order to accomplish it nothing comes easy this has impacted me to always work hard whether it sports or school. My motivation throughout the season was to always train hard on breaking my personal record and my teammates that cheered me on.

Sports have taught me failure is okay because you just have to move on and do better the next time. My mom and family really pushed me to play sports but my mom was my main supporter throughout the whole process. Our goal to win league and win CCS is getting me though our season and the special bond on the team is unbreakable.

Sports kept me focus on my goal and also taught me how to split my time up for the important things. It also help me make friends which are now my bestfriends. It made my high school experience amazing and I'm glad I got to be apart of a team as great as this one.
