Duty of care has climbed to the top of the priority list in surveys among corporate travellers , allowing respected niche firms like Dawson & Sanderson to really come into their own .

“ It ’ s been the survival of the fittest , but we ’ ve ridden out a horrific storm and are now looking to the future ,” says Judith Alderson , director of corporate travel .

“ We have stepped up our duty of care and quickly became experts in Covid lateral flow , antigen and PCR tests , quarantine hotels and the correct Covid paperwork , always ensuring our customers ’ health wasn ’ t compromised .” Though the travel situation for the average holidaymaker remains precarious and confusing , with many people choosing

not to fly until 2022 , Judith and her team are busier than ever with corporate clients on Teesside and beyond .

“ We have many clients in oil and gas , shipping crew movements and renewable energy , all of whom are classed by the government as essential workers and who come under that travel umbrella ,” explains Judith .

“ As long as the situation remains fluid , we stay on the ball and are able to adapt quickly to any changes in legislation , thus giving a topclass service .”

When Judith looks back to the start of the pandemic , she shudders and yet remains optimistic for the future .

“ When I think back to March 2020 , when we had to close down the business and work from home with 72 hours ’ notice , I wonder how we did it – but we did , and we are doing okay !
