FILM COMPANY SECURES CONTRACT TO CAPTURE DEMOLITIONS

specialist manufacturer is finding export growth to be plain sailing thanks to help from regional export experts .
Hartlepool-based marine industry heat exchanger manufacturer AMI Exchangers is operating successfully in markets across the globe after support , guidance and funding from the Department for International Trade ( DIT ).
Operating primarily in the marine sector , AMI Exchangers has accessed funding to support trips to Thailand , Malaysia and Poland , attending one of the most important European trade shows for the marine sector .
It has also received investment to help upgrade its overseas marketing material and revamp its website .
As a result , AMI has been able to develop new relationships with international customers and generate new sales

overseas , primarily in South East Asia , but also securing work in the Caribbean , Channel Islands and the Middle East .

Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen has welcomed Hartlepool-based In Studio on-site at Teesworks , the latest in a long line of local businesses securing work at the UK ’ s largest freeport .
Film and design specialists In Studio have been tasked by the mayor with capturing time-lapse camera footage of the former steelworks .
The 4,500-acre site is of historic and local importance to generations of families across the Tees Valley and this work – led by the independent Teesworks Heritage Taskforce , Historic England and local photographers – will help secure vital footage of some of its final moments .

HARTLEPOOL FIRM WINS £ 1.4M KERBSIDE RECYCLING CONTRACT
Global automotive manufacturer TMD Friction has outlined ambitious plans to grow during 2021 after securing over £ 2m of investment from the TMD Friction Group .
The firm , which has one of two UK production facilities in Hartlepool , has been making parts for the passenger car aftermarket since 1974 and now employs 449 people in the North-East .
TMD Friction , which manufactures brake pads for 95 per cent of the models of Europe ’ s aftermarket , including emergency services vehicles and many of the major distribution small trucks and vans , moved to its current base on Oakesway Trading Estate in 1998 .
J & B Recycling has been awarded another successful tender to process the kerbside recyclables for Hartlepool Council in a £ 1.4m deal .
Running for two years with the possibility for an extension , the contract will see the company processing around 8,000 tonnes a year of fully commingled recyclables .
J & B also hopes materials that can be included in recycling collections by Hartlepool residents can be expanded .
The growing waste firm is also committed to working alongside the local authority to reduce contamination by raising awareness of recycling procedures .
A new payroll bureau has been launched under the management of experienced payroll experts .
McBrides Payroll Bureau Services will be run by Tracey Courtley and Lauren Gleaves , who have worked together for the past 17 years and will focus on growing the new business across the North-East .
The business is backed by Kentbased firm McBrides Chartered Accountants .
