APPRENTICE CIVIL ENGINEER , PD PORTS
Emily turned down an opportunity to study at university to take on a higher degree apprenticeship with PD Ports after impressing during an internship with the Teesport owner . Full of drive and determination , she splits her time between PD Ports and Teesside University as she studies to become a chartered civil engineer . She is a shining example for young women looking to start their careers in STEM subjects and has been invited to present at numerous conferences as a recognised young talent within the industry .

Psychology graduate Jenny joined CPI ’ s HR team three years ago as an apprentice . Her drive and aspirations have led to back-toback promotions since completing her apprenticeship . Progressing from HR assistant to a HR advisor , she has all the skills to continue her aspirations in becoming a HR business partner . CPI say of Jenny : “ The possibilities are endless !”

Beth supports both academic and industrial partners in the development of manufacturing processes for their novel biopharmaceutical products . Joining CPI in 2014 , she has transitioned into a research role , designing the first industrially relevant gene therapy processes in the region and now leads on the development of cuttingedge digital bioprocessing projects .

Northumbria University graduate Andrew joined Stokesley ’ s Applied Integration in 2012 , since when his rise is described as “ nothing but breathtaking ”. He was promoted to defence senior engineer aged 23 and soon took on responsibility for delivering the platform management software to Astute Class submarines , working with the Ministry of Defence and Royal Navy on the world ’ s most technologically advanced submarines , a £ 1bn national asset , designed to protect the UK . He now leads a 25-strong software team delivering the engine test facility for £ 8bn-worth of next generation submarines .

She is also coaching the next generation of entrepreneurs .

She then led Europe ’ s air technology category . In March 2020 , she took over the management of her family ’ s business , Rosedene Nurseries , a group of 11 children ’ s nurseries employing 135 people .
