Joanne Fryett, NEPIC The industry body that represents the chemical processing sector in the North- East has made a senior appointment to support its long-term growth plans. Joanne Fryett joins Teesside-based NEPIC – the North East Process Industry Cluster – as business development director and will oversee the company’s membership engagement and growth activity. Joanne has spent more than 25 years working in the region, building a reputation for developing authentic relationships across a wide range of business sectors. Recognised as one of the go-to people, Joanne has spent her career working within public, private and voluntary sectors across the North-East. In 2019, NEPIC – based at the Wilton Centre, near Redcar – formed a senior management team to further support the organisation’s ambitions in representing and growing the largest single cluster of process, chemical and energy companies anywhere in the UK. Joanne joins an experienced senior management team that, headed up by chief executive Philip Aldridge, includes Dave Robson as technical director, Felix O’Hare as supply chain director and Louise Gwynne-Jones as communications Garry Lewis and Mark Hobbs, px Group px Group, the leading energy and infrastructure solutions business, has announced two major new additions to its senior leadership team. Garry Lewis joins px Group as chief strategy officer and Mark Hobbs joins as managing director, offshore oil and gas. Garry will lead px Group’s business development team and will have responsibility for driving organic growth across the entire business in the UK and internationally, as well as exploring potential acquisitions. He joins px Group after nine years at Andy Koss, Sembcorp Sembcorp Industries (Group) has announced that Andy Koss will succeed Nomi Ahmad as the new head of its UK subsidiary, Sembcorp Energy UK (SEUK), from August 3. Mr Ahmad will relocate back to Singapore to take up an executive position within the group. Prior to joining SEUK, Andy held a number of senior roles at the North Yorkshire-based power production company Drax for the past 15 years. These include managing key stewardship responsibilities as director of strategy, head of investor relations, group treasurer and head of risk. In his last role as chief executive of generation, Andy was instrumental in the transformation of Drax into a leading generator and supplier of renewable energy.
