AS: We are actively developing these technologies. Since 2020, our machines have offered remote connectivity and augmented-reality support tools. We strongly believe that rapid response, direct technical assistance and effective knowledge sharing are key drivers of customer satisfaction. These technologies also help us to strengthen internal expertise and are now essential for competing successfully in a global market.
ISMR: How have you positioned EMC with respect to artificial intelligence? Are you using this technology and, if so, how? Do you have plans to integrate AI in the future?
AS: We firmly believe that people— their expertise, judgement and experience— remain the decisive factor. At the same time, we are investing significantly in artificial intelligence to prepare for the future and enhance the way that we design, operate and support our machines.

EMC and GLS Tanks

An EMC deburring machine has improved quality and productivity at GLS Tanks International GmbH.
“ GLS Tanks has optimised the production of glass-fused-to-steel tanks by introducing our new deburring solution( combined with boeck abrasive tools). The DIABLO M1650 CC system delivers cleaner, more uniform steel surfaces before enamelling, a critical stage that directly affects the durability and corrosion resistance of the finished tanks,” EMC told ISMR.
“ As a result, the rate of parts requiring rework has been reduced from 10 % to 6 %, while productivity and overall process reliability have improved significantly. Tool wear has also decreased, helping to lower operating costs and increase efficiency,” it concluded.
