The new Thalmann D-POWER double folder.
More than 200mm of folding beam retraction provides significantly greater horizontal bending clearance in the double folder, while reinforced clamping beams add stability.
Folding and coil handling launches
The new two-tonne COILCELL coil-handling system from Forstner, as well as the new D-POWER double folder from Thalmann, will both be officially launched at EuroBLECH in Hanover by CIDAN Machinery Group. The Group showcased the prototypes of both systems at the Dach + Holz exhibition in Cologne, Germany, this February.
Meet CIDAN Machinery Group on stand D154 in Hall 11 at EuroBLECH in Germany( 20-23 October 2026). EuroBLECH, organised by RX, is the world’ s leading exhibition for sheet metal working technology.
Thalmann D-POWER double folder
Based on kinematic control shaft technology that ensures synchronised force distribution across the entire working length, the new Thalmann D-POWER double folder offers a wide range of practical developments and technical innovations. This includes:
■ More bending clearance: The folding beam now retracts by more than 200mm, almost doubling the horizontal bending clearance. Reinforced clamping beams increase stability and help to deliver high-quality bending and hemming results.
■ Energy-efficient servo drive: The new drive technology delivers the same performance and speed, while reportedly using around 80 % less energy. Each machine axis can also be controlled according to actual demand.
■ Flexible side-loading solution: Side loading reduces loading times and increases flexibility. The multi-head feeder with double-sheet detection picks up several sheets at once and positions them in the machine, with the option of using a customer-supplied loading table.
■ Multifunctional handling table: The multifunction table allows one operator to load, turn and unload several sheets.“ Increasing the travel to 900mm raises table output by around one third and enables a wider range of bending applications,” confirmed CIDAN.
■ Modular automation units: Three modular automation units( sheet feeding, sheet turning and sheet unloading) reduce manual handling, lower staffing requirements and improve production efficiency. A new laser scanner safety system provides continuous protection.
Forstner’ s modular COILCELL.
Forstner COILCELL
The new COILCELL from Forstner is a modular, stackable and automation-ready two-tonne coil-handling system. Its doublelevel tower with integrated lift provides a compact footprint and can be expanded step- by-step( from manual or semi-automatic coil handling to a fully automated coilmanagement solution).
“ It offers an exceptionally compact footprint, thanks to a double-level tower design. It hands smaller and growing companies an economical way to start working with coil handling. Coils can optionally be loaded with a manual pallet truck, with no need for a crane or forklift. Short changeover times enable quick coil changes and reduce downtime. Increasing levels of automation optimise material flow and improve productivity,” explained CIDAN.
Sheet metal processing exhibits
CIDAN Machinery Group will also present a range of additional machine, control and software solutions for efficient sheetmetal processing at EuroBLECH with its four brands( CIDAN, Forstner, Thalmann and nuIT). CIDAN exhibits will include the FORMA Z 32 folding machine with straight upper beam, the FX 32 with nuLINK control, the RAPIDO 32 electric guillotine shear and the MF and MFB manual folding machines.
Forstner will present its COMPACT straightening, slitting and cut-to-length line, combined with a motorised eight-tonne decoiler and loading cart. nuIT will present its latest software developments including new punching functions, profile generators for boxes and windowsills, and enhanced integration with Thalmann machines.
For those unable to attend EuroBLECH, CIDAN’ s next Open House will take place on 26-27 November 2026 at the CIDAN Competence Centre in Feldkirch, Austria. n
