PRODUCT REVIEWS companies that manufacture high-quality sheet metal assemblies and housings in small batches with a wide variety of variants. It enables stable processes, short cycle times and a high degree of flexibility in production,” outlined Moritz Berger, a product manager at TRUMPF.
The new TruLaser Weld 3000 can be programmed either directly at the machine in the conventional way or offline using the TruTops Weld software. This is particularly beneficial when working with frequently changing components. Employees can create new programs on the computer while the machine continues production.
“ In addition, welding programs based on CAD data are created significantly faster

than with conventional programming. The‘ TeachLine Touch’ function can then be used to correct minor deviations. Weld points can be repositioned simply by tapping on the machine screen. This reduces programming and set-up time by up to 50- per cent. Corrections are even easier with the‘ TeachLine AI’ feature extension. An AIbased process detects deviations in the weld points and corrects the robot path according to the actual component configuration. This allows the system to be set up more quickly for new components. Even less experienced
employees can operate the laser welding cell,” added TRUMPF.
Smaller welding optics expand part range
Newly developed welding optics, approximately 40 per cent smaller, expand the range of applications for the TruLaser Weld 3000. The welding robot can reach hard-to-access areas within a component. This enables users to automate the production of a wider range of parts and reduce manual rework.
TRUMPF laser welding technologies include BrightLine Scan, for greater gap bridging of up to 0.4mm and wider welds for better tolerance compensation. The BrightLine Weld function reduces spatter( particularly during deep welding). For larger gaps of up to approximately 1.5mm or materials that require filler metal, FusionLine combines the laser with filler wire for targeted material deposition.
“ The TruLaser Weld 3000’ s protective enclosure has a footprint of 3.65 x 3.65m, making it about 24 per cent smaller than the smallest version of the TruLaser Weld 5000. This means that the laser welding cell is ideal for confined production environments. Despite its compact design, the machine can process pallet-sized components using a KUKA Iontec robot with a 2,100mm reach. To align the components, the user can choose between a conventional welding table, a tilt-rotate positioner or a compact rotary changer for loading and unloading parallel to production,” concluded TRUMPF.
With laser power of three or four kilowatts, the TruLaser Weld 3000 welds stainless steel and structural steel( up to 8mm thick) as well as aluminium( up to 6mm thick). n

STOPA and TRUMPF at EuroBLECH 2026
STOPA LG-E is an entry-level solution for the automated storage of long goods and similar items.
Visit TRUMPF and STOPA on TRUMPF’ s stands( B94 / B70) in Hall 11 at EuroBLECH 2026( 20-23 October 2026 in Hanover, Germany).
“ As specialists in storage technology, we will showcase our diverse range of automated production solutions. The focus of our integrated systems is on a new product as well as our well-known STOPA COMPACT large-capacity storage system. Visitors will also receive a trade show discount on our STOPA LG-E storage systems,” commented STOPA, a TRUMPF partner.
STOPA is a leading global manufacturer of automated storage systems for sheetmetal, long goods and other goods. Its product range extends from stand-alone applications to integrated automation modules. STOPA storage systems are designed for innovation and efficiency in warehouse and production logistics.
“ Our systems are designed with standard modules and can therefore be expanded at any time. This allows for individual adaptation to almost any situation. They guarantee optimal use of space and material flow, maximum planning reliability and flexibility for the future,” it concluded. n
