For flexible and automatic profile bends profiles ( such as door frames , elevator parts or cable ducts in batch size one ), it offers the ProfileCenter . The FlexGripper handling system moves , rotates and flips the blank automatically during the bending process . It offers seven motorised swivel bending machines and 11 manual swivel bending machines , in a wide variety of designs and control types , for folding sheet metal . It also manufactures segment and shingle bending systems along with shears and profilers .
The Schröder Group has teamed up with automation specialist , STARMATIK , to present a system at EuroBLECH 2024 this October that can be integrated into fully automated industrial production processes . A MAK 4 Evolution UD has been equipped with a Fanuc robot for this purpose . It loads the machine with up to 6mm thick sheets ( 3000 x 1500mm in size ) and places the finished bent product on a palletising station .
Using the pneumatic stop in the Advanced Handling System and the up-and-down folding beam , the folding machine itself runs through the production process without any intervention from the robot . The entire automation solution is controlled via Schröder software . No knowledge of robotics is required , confirmed the manufacturer . The robot module in the Schröder POS 3000 control system will be available in future for all machines in the Evolution class , as well as the PowerBend folder series .
The Schröder Group , which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year , has also redesigned its PowerBend Industrial UD folding machine . The machine ( the bidirectional folding version at EuroBLECH processes thick steel sheets of up to 5mm thick to a length of 4000mm ) has been equipped with improved servo motors throughout .

Another innovation of this folding machine for processing thin sheet metal of up to 2.5mm sheet thickness is the clamping function . In combination with the option of the rotating clamping beam , it is possible to reset the clamping beam , clamp the sheet and make room for the folding beam to fold hems .
