TRUMPF was founded in 1923 as a series of mechanical workshops and has since developed into one of the world ’ s leading companies for machine tools , laser technology and electronics for industrial applications . In 2020 , the sheet-metal specialist opened a new Smart Factory at its European headquarters in Ditzingen , Germany ; the company ’ s third fully networked factory after Chicago , USA , and Taicang , China .
In its centennial year , the TRUMPF Group has generated considerable revenue growth . Based on preliminary calculations , revenue in the 2022 / 23 fiscal year 2022 / 23 came in at 5.4 billion euros . It started the new fiscal year in June with a bulging order book , surpassing the five-billion-euro mark at 5.1 billion euros .
