CLA tools : Auxiliary blades , modular in length , available in both positive and negative versions , for making upward or downward tabs or bends that are shorter than the whole sheet length
CUT tools : Auxiliary cutting blade that works above the panel bender ’ s lower blade . An unloading device ensures automatic and sequential cutting of profiles with different lengths and shapes , from a single starting metal sheet .
RSU tool : This enables the P2 to use various special tools for deburring , ribbing or engraving the sheet metal , if the material has to be weakened or the springback reduced to achieve greater final quality in some bending cycles ( e . g . tubular bends ). With a specific tool , the RSU device can also facilitate the cutting and removal of protective plastic film .
DPM manipulator : Suction-cup device used to handle narrow parts or frames without material ( minimum width of 105mm ). FACE : This is the Salvagnini HMI for the entire product range , with the same look and feel for all technologies . FACE reduces the time required for interaction .
Software : STREAMBEND is used to program a single part or series of parts automatically , even from an assembled finished product . It also manages the automatic programming of mixed parts , to add one or more CUT profiles to a standard panel . The 3D simulator included helps to highlight any collisions or problems in the bending sequence .
P-Robot : This application combines P2 and a robot to autonomously produce kits , batches and single parts . P-Robot automates certain steps in the panel-bending process and includes solutions with loading / unloading assistance only , or more complex systems for automatic pallet handling or third-party integrations ( e . g . work centres for corner forming , labelling , laser marking , riveting and welding ).

The future of welding
ISMR took a tour of ABICOR BINZEL ’ s booth at this September ’ s Schweissen and Schneiden exhibition ( Stuttgart , Germany ) to view its latest welding innovations . Under the motto ‘ People , Planet , Progress ’, it showcased its complete torch portfolio . This ranged from manual torches for extraction at source to the new automatic extraction torch , xFUME ® AUT , and the robot extraction torch , xFUME ® ROBO ( with matching extraction system ). The xFUME ® AUT extraction torch is suitable for welders who weld individual component types in high volumes and with simple , partially automated processes or for environments where liquid or gaseous media is transported through pipes . It can be used for processes such as pipe , beam and plate welding .
The xFUME ® ROBO extraction torches with externally guided cable assembly ( OA for over arm ) and xFUME ® extraction system is suitable for fume extraction in robotic welding , welding cells or production halls . The extraction tube can be adjusted to the torch bending angle , the torch bending radius and the torch neck length ( according to the application ). “ Our manual torches have an even better grip , while our robot torches play in the top league in terms of cooling

The future of robotic welding was also highlighted on the booth with demonstrations of its iBOT ® one welding cobot for an easy start into automation , as well as further system solutions around the robotic welding cell and pipe welding . Its new iROB ® power source line ( up to 500 amps ), for simple to demanding processes , was also on display .
“ With its self-explanatory , intuitive / easy operation and repeat accuracy of +/ -0.02mm in every application as well as its high flexibility , the iBOT ® one will soon be indispensable in welding production . Operators can use the recorded path to move the robot from weld to weld with no collisions . Small batches and individual parts can now be produced in an automated process , depending upon the welding task ,” explained the manufacturer .
