On stand K06 in Hall 14 at this year ’ s EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover , Germany ( 25-28 October 2022 ), Lissmac will present its SBM series and SMD 3 series machines for grinding and deburring . Both systems can be customised for a wide range of customer requirements .
“ Our customers have the option of choosing between two machine concepts : double-sided processing in one operation and single-sided processing — dry on one side or wet on the other . At EuroBLECH , we will present three models in the SBM series . In the dry machining process , efficient machining of all cutting contours on both sides of sheet metal i . e . the outer and inner contours , can be done in just one operational process . Synchronous machining on both sides offers maximum productivity and machining results . All machines in this series offer energy savings and quick / easy tool change ,” said the manufacturer .
The Lissmac equipment portfolio comprises four machine series ( SBM-XS , SBM-M , SBM-L or SBM-XL series ). The models differ in terms of working widths , as well as the number and type of units for workpiece machining . Lissmac will showcase its SBM-XS 300 ALU MIX small parts deburring machine with a loading robot and “ simple and intuitive machine operation .” It is designed for deburring and edge rounding of steel , stainless steel and aluminium with sheet thicknesses from 1-15mm and part sizes from 45 x 45 x 1mm up to a maximum of 200 x 200 x 15mm . For deburring and edge rounding of the inner and outer contours of stamped parts or punched parts , as well as for laser- or fine plasma-cut workpieces , the two dry-operating SBM-L 1000 G1S2 and SBM-L 1500 G1S2 machines for removal of spatter on the sheet surface will be shown . Extraction and filter technology significantly reduce dust , dirt and noise pollution . Optional smart features include automatic tool wear compensation , automatic sheet thickness measurement , a barcode scanner and other tools .
“ The deburring of often very heavy workpieces on both sides saves costintensive turning or machining of the parts twice . The processing units are individually electrically adjustable or can be switched on and off . The transverse machining principle ensures optimum tool utilisation over the entire working width and the modular , compact construction in modern machine design requires only a small amount of space ,” said Lissmac .
Lissmac ’ s range of singlesided dry grinding machines includes the entry-level models of the SMD 1 series . Applications range from deburring and all-round edge rounding to the removal of heavy plasma or flame-cut slag .

“ The two rotor heads enable uniform edge rounding on all sides and also a directionless finish . The creation of a surface grind is possible without timeconsuming set-up work . Components can also be machined by forming . The SMD 123- RE has a small footprint and can be operated intuitively via a touch panel . Other features include separate on / off switching of the processing units , continuously adjustable sanding belt speed and a quick / easy toolchange ,” added Lissmac .
“ Our SMD 3 series is used for efficient part processing from 50 x 50mm , regardless of the part geometry . Applications range from slag removal , deburring and uniform edge rounding up to a radius of 2.0mm to surface finishing and small parts machining . The sophisticated tool arrangement ensures a uniform machining result over the entire working width . A quick tool-change system reduces set-up times to a minimum ,” commented the manufacturer .
In Hanover , the SMD 345 REER ( S-Edition ) will be on display for applications such as edge rounding R2 to finishing . Featuring several round brushes , it is suitable for processing sheet metal with coating , foiling , embossing or through-passages , as well as materials of different thicknesses . The SMD 335 DRE ( P-Edition ), which will also be presented , is suitable for machining thick sheet and offers cool-grinding . Mechanical slag removal reduces tooling costs for users .
In cooperation with straightening technology specialist , Kohler Maschinenbau GmbH , Lissmac will also be presenting a processing line for deburring and part straightening in a single operation on its exhibition stand .
