Schiavi Macchine will showcase two hybrid press brakes at EuroBLECH .
Sheet-metal bending
At this year ’ s EuroBLECH exhibition in Hanover , Germany ( 25-28 October 2022 ), Schiavi Macchine will display a 170-ton HFBx hybrid press brake ( 3m , eight axes , with 800mm large opening and 500mm stroke ).
“ It is ideal for bending complex profiles and can reach speeds of up to 300mm / s ,” the Italian bending specialist told ISMR .
The second press brake on its stand will be a small 50-ton Hybrid BSTs ( 1.2m , six axes ) for the rapid bending of small components . This press brake consumes 0.6-0.7kW / h of energy and offers speeds of up to 250mm / s .

Scanning spray
Large items , such as yachts , aircraft and cars ( with areas that are difficult to access and tricky surfaces ), are usually measured with handheld scanners or portable laser trackers . Often , the aim is to optimise speed and fuel consumption . If the surfaces are shiny or transparent , these must first be made visible to the scanner . This is done with scanning sprays which mat the shiny surfaces .
The AESUB green scanning spray designed for large-sized components is now available for this purpose . It is applied quickly using a spray gun . The applied spray layer sublimates automatically after a few hours , so the sprayed parts do not have to undergo time-consuming and / or expensive cleaning .
“ After six hours , the layer sublimates and the object and its environment are completely clean again . No cleaning is required ,” said the manufacturer .
With the ‘ vanishing ’ AESUB scanning sprays , parts can be sprayed directly in the area being measured . Within a few hours , a thin , white layer generates high contrast values . The layer thicknesses are between 1 µ and 15 µ m . The matting layer is touch-dry , so that the parts can also be touched and repositioned during the scanning process .
