TRUMPF demonstrates new innovations at Blechexpo 2025
At Blechexpo in Stuttgart this October, TRUMPF presented various new innovations to ISMR on its stand in Hall 1. TRUMPF is one of the global technology and market leaders in machine tools for sheet metal processing, industrial lasers and software.
With the Flex Cell mobile bending cell from TRUMPF, users can operate the TruBend 7050 bending machine automatically.
Flex Cell mobile cell
TRUMPF showcased its Flex Cell mobile bending cell in combination with its TecZone Bend programming software at the trade show. Users can connect the Flex Cell to the TruBend 7050 bending machine in a few steps and then let the bending machine work automatically.
“ The addition of TecZone Bend software reduces the programming effort for the bending machine and the robot to a matter of seconds, making automation worthwhile even for new components with very small batch sizes. The bending cell can be programmed‘ offline’ with TecZone Bend, for example from the office. Meanwhile, the mobile bending cell can continue to produce parts. This further increases productivity,” outlined TRUMPF.
“ With TecZone Bend, the Flex Cell is not only our fastest but also our most flexible mobile bending cell. Thanks to the software, users can quickly and easily use it for all kinds of components— without any loss of productivity or time-consuming programming. In addition, the previous limitation to four bends has been eliminated. This means that the Flex Cell is now also suitable for complex components and assemblies,” it continued.

With most mobile bending cells, users have to program the bending machine and the robot separately. For the Flex Cell with TecZone Bend, the software creates both programs automatically and simultaneously( including real-time collision monitoring). Users upload the CAD data for their component to the software and let the program create it automatically. The Flex Cell itself is suitable for components with a format of up to 600 x 400mm and can process sheet thicknesses of up to 6mm.
New generation of bending machines
At Blechexpo 2025, TRUMPF also presented a new, completely redesigned version of its TruBend 3000 bending machine series.

“ The solution is particularly fast and precise, easy to program and saves energy. We have succeeded in reducing the throughput time by around 40 % compared to the previous model. With the new TruBend 3000 bending machine, we’ re offering users a technologically advanced all-round machine with which they can process around 85 % of all components in sheet metal production. The machine’ s productivity and part accuracy are among the best in this segment,” commented TRUMPF.
Depending upon the machine type, the new TruBend 3000 offers a press force of 85-230 tonnes and a bending length of 2-4m. To help ensure high part quality, TRUMPF has integrated the ACB Laser automatic angle measuring system. A system consisting of a camera and laser sensors measures the bending angle of the component before each bending process. If the angle does not match the value stored in the software, the press beam automatically changes its position until the required angle is achieved. This, says TRUMPF ensures consistently high part quality from the first component, even with material fluctuations. At the same time, scrap is reduced.
TecZone Bend offline programming software also ensures greater productivity as users can program the machine while it is producing parts. TRUMPF’ s Bend Guard, cameras and matrix sensors monitor the machine’ s working area to protect the machine operator.
