InspecVision Ltd . was set up in March 2003 , in Northern Ireland , to develop a range of precision inspection machines for industrial applications . The founder of the company , Dr . Jan Antonis , carried out advanced research into computer vision systems at Queens University Belfast and saw a gap in the market for a system which could measure parts quickly and easily . Sales of the company ’ s Planar inspection system , for quality control and reverse engineering applications , began in 2005 . InspecVision products are now sold in over 30 countries worldwide .

In recent years , the company has earned several prestigious awards , including ‘ Exporter of the Year ( Northern Ireland )’ at the 2023 Federation of Small Business ( FSB ) Awards , the ‘ Queen ’ s Award for Enterprise : International Trade ’ in 2021 and ‘ FSB High Growth Business of the Year ( Northern Ireland )’ in 2020 .
