FACE TO FACE

The MultiFold 2111 panel bender in special colours at EuroBLECH 2024 . to a press brake ). Our panel bending solutions are aimed at a gap in the market and the ‘ sweet spot ’ that we see is for a machine with automation at a very convincing price point ,” he continued .
He made the point that manufacturers are often forced to process massive volumes on large production lines to make them costeffective enough .
“ However , flexibility is key now . What tends to happen is that there is a mixture of panel volume sizes being produced , so we are seeing more flexible mixed panel work and kit production . Some of the features you will see on a panel bender now include multiple input stations . There are up to six input stations on our MultiFold panel bender , which is crucial for making kits , for example ,” he explained .
– to produce numerous profiles and various types of bends .
“ The compact MultiFold panel bending machine on our booth at EuroBLECH sports legacy blue colours as a testament to the company ’ s 70 years of history in bending technology . This machine also has some new features such as a three-axis automatic offloading unit , eliminating the human element from the unloading process ,” confirmed Matt Fowles .
“ Manufacturers typically either look for small-footprint panel benders , where operators feed / retrieve the blank manually , or larger production lines . On the manual side , the labour ratio of floor time is much more significant with a small , stand-alone machine than with a complete line ( as a lot of processes happen concurrently on a large production line ). However , a line can be very expensive .
What tends to happen is that , if you are making large panels , the panel bender is often the best solution ( unless there is some kind of special feature in the panel that is best suited
LVD celebrated 70 years of bending technology at EuroBLECH 2024 .
A smooth process flow
LVD also demonstrated its latest software releases , including CADMAN ® -FLOW . CADMAN-FLOW introduces a new generation of CADMAN , offering improved process overview , smarter tool optimisation , easy ERP connection and faster , more efficient bending solutions .
“ CADMAN-FLOW improves the speed and flexibility of the process flow from a 3D file to machine code to final product , offering significant gains in productivity . The latest version of CADMAN-FLOW is smarter , faster and more intuitive . Our bending software , CADMAN-B , now has a completely new engine and checks more bending solutions . It will offer a bending solution now very much as an experienced operator would …” highlighted Matt Fowles .
