The optional Tool Support system , available for both the RAS XLTbend and RAS MEGAbend machines , significantly simplifies the handling of upper beam tools used in the production of large box heights . It enables “ effortless ” handling of upper beam tools up to 300mm ( XLTbend ) and 400mm ( MEGAbend ), designed to accommodate large box heights . This system enables tools to be moved to the desired position or stored in the machine ’ s integrated tool magazine .
“ It allows operators to move large and heavy tools without physical effort . By minimizing the required effort , the operator ’ s workload is significantly reduced , enhancing overall comfort . In addition , this reduces fatigue and importantly lowers the risk of injury from repetitive heavy lifting ,” said RAS Reinhardt Maschinenbau GmbH .
The XLTbend is suitable for forming complex precision sheet metal parts such as cassettes , panels and boxes ( even in small batches ). It is a flexible UpDown folding machine , featuring Bendex software for automatic programming of the bending sequence , front and rear operating options ; ViN laser loading assistance and a hybrid gauging system .
The newly introduced RAS MetalLift expands the ergonomic benefits of the MEGAbend and allows the handling of heavy bent parts in up to 6mm mild steel . The innovative lifting system is designed to make it easy to load and unload heavy and large blanks without physical effort . In addition to the automatic bending process on the MEGAbend , the MetalLift relieves the operator during loading and unloading by fully supporting the weight of the workpieces .
condition of the machine and being able to carry out maintenance work proactively and in line with requirements .
ISMR : How are you handling sustainability in both your products and organisation ( including carbon footprint calculations etc .)?
MH : We have significantly reduced the energy consumption of our machines by dispensing with hydraulic components as far as possible and using servomotors in various machine types instead . This allows us to substantially lower power consumption and reduce the environmental footprint of our products .
Another approach is the refurbishment of used machines . We buy back older RAS machines , recondition them and put them back on the market . In this way , we extend the lifecycles of our products . Our company is committed to sustainable
The RAS team at EuroBLECH in Hanover recently . energy solutions . With our photovoltaic system , we generate a significant portion of our electricity needs on-site . Additionally , we use the process heat generated to warm our buildings . This approach allows us to reduce our carbon footprint and actively contribute to environmental protection .
We also collaborate with an energy consultancy that actively supports both our customers and ourselves in promoting energy consumption optimisation .
