FACE TO FACE
strengthen our presence to achieve even greater market penetration .
We place great emphasis on comprehensive after-sales service , regular training and technical support for our partners . This helps us to maintain long-term customer relationships and maximise machine uptime .
As regards our technical focus , we continuously invest in the further development of our machines and software solutions to offer our customers precision , speed and flexibility . Our technical focus is on automation and optimising our existing product portfolio . Additionally , we plan to strengthen our collaboration with Pivatic in line production .
ISMR : Which trends do you see developing in sheet metal markets ?
MH : In response to digitalisation and the skilled labour shortage , we rely on our userfriendly Bendex software and the extensive automation capabilities of our machines which allow them to be used up to 24 / 7 .
The Bendex machine control for RAS machines automatically generates the appropriate bending programs without requiring bending experience or complex programming . In addition , programs can be prepared in the office while the machine continues to operate productively . This combination of ease of use and advanced automation increases efficiency and flexibility in the production process , relieves skilled personnel and enables our customers to fully optimise their production capacities .

integrated robot for fully automated loading and unloading make the system ideal for 24 / 7 operation .
The RAS MetalLift complements the MEGAbend and sets new standards in ergonomics and efficiency . The system enables effortless loading and unloading of heavy and large blanks up to 6mm mild steel . This makes material handling easier and supports the automated bending process of the MEGAbend ergonomically and safely .
At EuroBLECH in Hanover recently , we also introduced our Tool Support for the first time . This system is designed to enable ergonomic operation on the XLTbend and MEGAbend . The Tool Support simplifies the handling of upper beam tools up to 300mm ( XLTbend ) and 400mm ( MEGAbend ) for large box heights . Tools can be positioned effortlessly and almost “ weight-neutrally ” or stored in the integrated tool magazine , which reduces fatigue and , importantly , lowers the risk of injury from repetitive heavy lifting .
ISMR : What is your approach to technologies such as Artificial Intelligence , Augmented Reality , Digital Twins and Virtual Reality ?
MH : Our Bendex software makes it possible to create a ‘ digital twin ’ that enables precise analysis of bent parts and therefore realistically determines the optimum bending strategies , without blocking production at the machine . Programming can be carried out conveniently in the office , including collision detection .
Using this simulation , we can automatically suggest suitable bending strategies , which makes the entire process much more efficient . This not only improves planning accuracy , but also optimises the entire production process .
In addition , we are currently working on the first approaches to predictive maintenance with the aim of permanently monitoring the
The new Tool Support is designed to enable ergonomic operation on the RAS XLTbend and MEGAbend .
ISMR : Are there any products / technologies / software that you have released or are releasing this year ( including at EuroBLECH ) that you would like to discuss ?
MH : The RAS MiniBendCenter 2 is a unique folding centre specifically designed for small parts . It combines advanced robotics with an innovative software solution to achieve the highest levels of flexibility and efficiency . The new MiniBend-Office software and the
