Following its acquisition of waterjet powerhouse , OMAX , Hypertherm rebranded as Hypertherm Associates with Hypertherm as the brand for its plasma solutions and OMAX as its waterjet brand . At EuroBLECH 2022 in Hanover , Germany , it showcased its OptiMAX waterjet along with the ProtoMAX , a compact , self-contained cutting system suitable for prototyping and low-volume cutting . OMAX also featured its highly intuitive IntelliMAX software at the exhibition .
OMAX direct drive pumps are designed to be compact , quiet , efficient , easy to maintain and inexpensive to operate . They include the EnduroMAX , MAXIEM ( for the MAXIEM line of waterjets ) and GlobalMAX . The DynaMAX intensifier pump is suitable for water-only ( or pure waterjet ) applications , multi-cutting head systems and etching .
In March 2023 , Hypertherm Associates announced the release of its ProNest ® LT 2023 version 15.1 nesting software , which is now available on a subscription basis for the waterjet cutting market .
“ ProNest LT subscriptions for waterjet will support virtually any make or model of a waterjet machine , allowing users to easily insert the nesting component into their existing workflow ,” it said .
IGEMS ( Sweden ) offers products such as CAD / CAM & Nest software for waterjet cutting in both 2D and 3D ( ranging from one-axis cutting to six-axis bevel cutting on a rotation axis ) as well as a new type of CNC for waterjets ( together with Beckhoff ). Its Tilter is a versatile 5x kinematic mechanism because it can handle 45 ° bevels and taper angle compensation . The IGEMS Rounder measures , calculates and compensates for deviation in five-axis waterjet cutting , calibrating to the cutting head .
