ConSus ’ s Abrasive Recycling Unit ARU ( with drying system for WAIS ) enables reuse of the abrasive to increase sustainability .
Its digital solutions include CMS Connect , an IoT platform that is integrated with the latest-generation CMS machines , and CMS Active , its new operator HMI interface , as well as the Eye CMS console .
In 2019 , it launched JD5 , a five-axis cutting head with infinite rotation ( continuous rotation of the C-axis during consecutive cuts ), designed to reduce the tolerance error of “ mirror ” -cut parts to zero .

A continuous suspension jet , it says , provides a ‘ more efficient cutting performance at lower pressure compared to conventional Water Abrasive Injection ( WAIS ) systems .’ For customisable performance comparison of both methods , a free web app is offered .
ConSus operates at a maximum pressure of 1500 bar and can be integrated into any existing waterjet cutting system , as ‘ only the pump and control system need to be adapted .’
“ The new Abrasive Recycling Unit ARU from ConSus enables the reprocessing and reuse of the abrasive material . The ARU offers particularly high output at low energy requirements and is suitable for both the conventional Water Abrasive Injection ( WAIS ) method and the high-performance Water Abrasive Suspension ( WAS ) process . In combination with the ConSus abrasive mixing unit , users can significantly increase the sustainability and cost-effectiveness of their cutting processes ,” it told ISMR .
Eckert ’ s Opal Waterjet Combo is a patented , rapid CNC waterjet for plasma and waterjet cutting . Equipped with the Pro-X 3D waterjet cutting head , it combines the advantages of ultra-fast plasma cutting and precision waterjet cutting . Eckert cites a reduction of production costs “ of up to 70 %” in comparison to standard waterjet machines . It also offers a stand-alone Opal Waterjet with 2D and 3D cutting heads .
ESAB Welding & Cutting Products offers its Hydrocut™ HDX large gantry waterjet cutting system which combines waterjet with other cutting and marking processes such as plasma cutting ; plasma marking ; oxyfuel cutting or plate lettering or marking tools . The Hydrocut HDX can be equipped with up to four waterjet cutting heads , two oxy-fuel stations and up to two plasma stations , including ESAB ’ s DMX Plasma Beveller .
