The young generation is increasingly gaining importance in the sheet-metalworking industry due to its digital transformation , the related changes to occupational profiles and continued labour / skills shortages . The last few years have been challenging for them to get a foot in the industry door due to fewer in-person events and networking opportunities .
EuroBLECH therefore offered students the opportunity to visit EuroBLECH free of charge on Friday 28 October 2022 and at a reduced student fee on other show days . Navigation around the show was facilitated by the new EuroBLECH app for Android and iPhone , which included an interactive area map and a function to search

It was a key opportunity for them to view the latest new technologies in different industrial sectors , watch new digital processes and discuss employment opportunities with exhibitors and visitors .
In this era of digital change , the sheetmetalworking industry has acquired pole position . Key topics such as e-mobility and sustainable production are important drivers for new materials and products , as well as the digitalisation of manufacturing processes including planning , control and logistics .
