Hypertherm Associates is a U . S . -based manufacturer of industrial cutting and gouging products and software . Its products , including Hypertherm plasma and OMAX waterjet systems , are used by companies around the world to build ships , aircraft and railcars ; construct steel buildings , fabricate heavy equipment ; erect wind turbines and more .
In addition to cutting systems , the company creates CNCs and CAM nesting / robotic software ( designed to increase productivity and profitability ) and consumables . Founded in 1968 , Hypertherm Associates is a 100 per-cent Associate-owned company , employing approximately 2,000 Associates with operations and partner representation worldwide .
Following its acquisition of waterjet powerhouse , OMAX , Hypertherm rebranded as Hypertherm Associates with Hypertherm as the brand for its plasma solutions and OMAX as its waterjet brand . The rebranding also highlighted its ‘ associate-owned ’ structure , where each employee ( Associate ) also owns part of the company and is invested in its success . Showing new solutions
The company exhibited in two halls at this October ’ s EuroBLECH sheet-metal exhibition at Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany . This year , it focused on automation , digitalisation and sustainability with products and solutions that help customers automate and make their cutting operations more efficient .
