Senior management changes at TRUMPF SE + Co . KG
In the year of its 100th anniversary , sheetmetal specialist TRUMPF is reorganising its management bodies . The following changes will take effect with the start of the new fiscal year 2023 / 24 on 1 July 2023 .
Dr . Jürgen Hambrecht ( 76 ), who has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board at TRUMPF since 2013 , will resign from his position and leave the Supervisory Board after ten years for age reasons . Dr . -Ing . e . h . Peter Leibinger ( 55 ), Vice Chairman of the Managing Board and Chief Technology Officer ( CTO ), is leaving the Managing Board . He assumes the office of Chairman of the Supervisory Board , succeeding Jürgen Hambrecht .
Elke Reichart ( 58 ), formerly CDO of TUI AG , succeeds Prof . Dr . Claudia Eckert ( 64 ) on the Supervisory Board of TRUMPF . Dr . Christian Schmitz ( 63 ), member of the Managing Board responsible for the Laser Technology Business Division , is stepping down from his post after reaching retirement age .
The new Managing Board member responsible for the Laser Technology Business Division will be Dr . Hagen Zimer ( 50 ). The physicist has been the managing director of TRUMPF Laser GmbH in Schramberg since 2020 . Dr . Zimer has previously worked for the company in areas such as research and development and was managing director of TRUMPF ’ s diode laser facility in the USA .
Dr . Berthold Schmidt ( 54 ) will succeed Peter Leibinger as the new Chief Technology Officer ( CTO ) on the TRUMPF Managing Board . The physicist has been the managing director of TRUMPF Photonic Components in Ulm since April 2020 and has been with TRUMPF since 2013 , including as CTO for research and development of the Laser Technology Business Division and as Head of Corporate Research for Corporate R & D .
In the extended management team , Peter Bokelmann ( 62 ) is leaving the company as General Counsel for reasons of age .
Dr . Hagen Zimer ’ s successor as managing director of TRUMPF in Schramberg will be Dr . Björn Dymke ( 47 ). Dymke has been with TRUMPF since 2008 and was most recently Head of Finance and Controlling at the TRUMPF Group in Ditzingen . Prior to this , Dymke , a business economist , was responsible for finance and administration of the TRUMPF subsidiaries in North America for three years .
Dr . Berthold Schmidt ’ s successor as managing director of TRUMPF Photonic Components in Ulm will be announced in time for 1 July 2023 .
Chairwoman of the Managing Board , Dr . Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller , and TRUMPF Managing Board members Dr . -Ing . Mathias Kammüller ( CDO ); Dr . Lars Grünert ( CFO ); Oliver Maassen ( CHRO ) and Dr . -Ing . Stephan Mayer ( CEO , Machine Tools ) will retain their current functions .
TRUMPF CEO , Dr . Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller , commented on the changes : “ As Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TRUMPF , Dr . Hambrecht has been of tremendous service to our company . Thanks to his prudence and expertise , we as the Managing Board were able to make important decisions even in difficult times . I thank him and the other three colleagues who are also leaving for their dedication and loyalty . They greatly contributed to the success of the company in recent years .
