In addition to innovative technologies and technical highlights in the exhibition halls , the Wire and Tube Expert Meeting will be held for the first time on 20 June 2022 ( 2pm ). International experts will report from their companies and present their machines , systems and the latest production methods .
The motto of the expert meeting organised by Messe Düsseldorf is : “ The steel industry is forging ahead with the green transformation ”. The event is organised by the Stahl-Kommunikation agency and will be held in Room 15 , South Entrance , Hall No . 1 of Messe Düsseldorf .
Sustainability and green issues are of key importance at the trade fairs .
“ How green are the wire , cable , tube and pipe industries ? How sustainably do they produce and how environmentally friendly is the handling of the materials used ? These are questions that the new ecoMetals campaign wants to demonstrate through guided tours . During the Wire and Tube trade fair , trade visitors will be offered daily guided tours , or ecoMetals-trails , to exhibitors for whom the terms sustainability , energy efficiency and resource conservation are lived practice ,” explained Messe Düsseldorf .
“ At their exhibition stands , they will demonstrate how new technologies , machines and systems in their production facilities improve the energy and carbon dioxide balance to minimise their companies ’ ecological footprint . They will also explain to visitors how they manage to reconcile economy and ecology in their production and process chains . This seems to be more important than ever to survive in international competition and to remain a sought-after business partner ,” it added .
The meeting point for all free tours is the ecoMetals information counter at the North Entrance of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre .
Versatile applications
Tubes and pipes are some of the most versatile products and design elements in general . Whether in the energy sector ; mechanical ; power ; automotive engineering ; chemical ; petrochemical ; construction or other areas , tubes and tube designs in different shapes , sizes and weights can be found everywhere . Steel tubes and pipes cover a particularly broad spectrum , as these products are conquering new applications partly due to the innovative strength of manufacturers . However , thanks to new and further developments , they are also maintaining a strong position in traditional applications .
In the energy sector , pipes have become indispensable for the transportation of oil and gas , while also playing a major role as design elements . In fact , most structural foundations of offshore wind turbines consist of pipe elements . Pipes also fulfil important functions in the offshore production of oil and gas .
