PRODUCT REVIEWS

Tube bending in focus

Unison Ltd will showcase the capabilities of its full range of tube bending machines, including its Pneuform wire forming technologies and advanced Opt2Sim Scan tube measurement system, at Tube Düsseldorf 2026 in Germany( 13-17 April 2026).
On stand B27 in Hall 6, the UK-based specialist in all-electric tube manipulation will also present one of its manually operated and CNC-controlled EvBend 1000 precision tubebending machines. Live demonstrations of Unison’ s Opt2Sim Scan tube measurement system will take place throughout the event.
“ Designed for low-volume prototyping and production, Unison EvBend models are used widely across aerospace and MRO, Formula 1 and the oil & gas industry. They provide three-axis mandrel, multi-plane tube and pipe bending at a fraction of the cost of fully automated machines,” said Unison.
“ In addition to the EvBend 1000, which is designed for bending tube of up to 16mm in diameter( 22mm in copper), a larger machine( the EvBend 2000) is also available. Built to bend tube of up to 50mm in diameter, its bending function is servo-assisted. Both EvBend machines feature a 15-inch, PCbased touchscreen controlled by a CNC that is capable of processing up to 100 bends per component, storing infinite parts and connecting to CAD and most tube measuring systems,” it added.
Unison’ s Opt2Sim Scan system combines rapid scanning of tube geometry with extraction of tube data. Teamed with a Creaform handheld 3D scanner to measure the tube or component to replicate or measure, operators enter its bending data into Opt2Sim Scan, compare measured tube dimensions to master file data and send any corrections directly to the bending machine.
Pneuform wire and small-diameter tubebending machines includes models capable of bending mild steel wire of 3-16mm in diameter, and tube of up to 20mm in diameter. As standard, all rotary head Pneuform machines are equipped with Yaskawa drives and Unison’ s software for programming, operation and control. Other machines in the Pneuform range include

twin-head wire and tube bending machines, rotating wire 3D bending machines, enamelled wire stripping and bending machines, and copper & aluminium busbar bending machines. Optional heading machines and press stations are also available for secondary operations. n

Premiere of KUKA KMF 1500P-CB forklift

Above: Visitors to LogiMAT 2026 will be able to see KUKA’ s AMRs in action.
Right: The new KMF 1500P-CB mobile forklift.
Visitors to LogiMAT 2026( 24-26 March 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany) will view the premiere of KUKA’ s new KMF 1500P-CB mobile forklift with an AMR on its fork. With a lifting height of up to three metres and a maximum payload of 1,500kg, the mobile forklift is controlled by KUKA. AMR OS software and fleet manager software( the KUKA. AMR Fleet).
Efficient, flexible, future-proof— autonomous mobile robots( AMRs) can already simplify and accelerate workflows. Visitors to LogiMAT 2026 will also see a new, cooperative AMR showcase concept from KUKA. With partners such as SYNAOS, WIFERION and FPT Robotik, KUKA will be part of the‘ Interoperability Arena’. Covering more than 600 square metres, visitors to booth B61 in hall 8 will see a large live showcase demonstrating the seamless interaction of mobile robots with classic sixaxis industrial robots.
The interaction between AMRs and stationary robotics will be displayed within a 75-square-metre area in the lower part of the arena. On a pedestal, a KR IONTEC will stack cartons on pallets transported by mobile robots such as the KMP 250P or KMP 600P. This set-up will be implemented by KUKA system partner, FPT Robotik.
The mobile robots will operate in the KUKA area and will also be on the move in the adjacent driving area in the partner showcase. The shared driving area will feature different AMR and robotics systems working together in live scenarios. As manufacturer-independent orchestration software, the SYNAOS Intralogistics Platform will connect all means of transport used.
Two other members of the KUKA Group will also be represented at LogiMat 2026. Swisslog will be demonstrating the benefits of seamlessly integrated automation and software in hall 1, booth B41. Visual Components, KUKA Group’ s manufacturing simulation software company, will be on booth D80( hall 8) at the exhibition. n
