Industrial kaleidoscope at ITM
This year’ s ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE 2026 trade show will take place from 26-29 May 2026 in Poznań, Poland. The Modernlog and Subcontracting trade shows, as well as the European Science Fair, will be held at MTP Poznań Expo at the same time. ISMR is an international media partner at ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE.
The trade show features extensive exhibitions as well as numerous conferences, debates and training sessions. The four-day programme is built each year on the knowledge of experienced experts and supported by key organisations, associations and institutions in the industrial sector.
“ The slogan‘ Innovations, Technologies and Machines’, or ITM in short, fully reflects the spirit of the ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE trade show. Companies operating in various industry sectors will focus on real increases in profitability through optimisation, digitalisation and process reliability. These solutions will be available to view live in the trade show halls. ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE not only showcases innovative machines and solutions for modern factories, as well as mediumsized and smaller enterprises, but also indicates the direction of development for the manufacturing sector,” commented show organiser, Grupa MTP.
In 2025, the trade show attracted 738 exhibitors and 14,673 industry professionals.
Thematic areas and zones
The trade show is divided into thematic areas( AUTOMA, MACH-TOOL, SURFEX and WELDING), allowing companies to better identify with a specific industry, and making it easier for visitors to access the technologies which interest them while visiting the exhibition.
“ The thematic zones’ concept also attracts the support of key partners who, as in the last show, will curate these unique spaces. These include Schmalz( Collaborative Robot Zone); Troax( Safety Zone); Balluff( Demobus Zone) and Pneumat( Pneumat Game Zone). There will also be a DBR77 Zone with innovations for factories of the future,” said Grupa MPT.
“ MACH-TOOL is the machine tool exhibition and one of the most dynamic exhibition spaces at the trade show.
Industrial tradition meets visionary innovation here and powerful machines demonstrate their true potential in the production cycle,” it added.
AUTOMA is the‘ Automation, Robotics and Pneumatics’ exhibition covering the automation of production processes and the presentation of industrial robots, cobots and modern control systems as well as pneumatics. Interactive zones will include a Collaborative Robots Zone, a Pneumat Game Zone and a DBR 77 Zone( for factories of the future).
“ The SURFEX exhibition showcase the essence of modern finishing engineering. This is where raw materials are transformed into finished, protected products, ready to operate in the harshest conditions. There will be live painting demonstrations and breakthrough solutions in galvanization and thermo-chemical treatment. SURFEX covers the full spectrum: from precision coatings for bathroom fittings and screws to protection technologies for fuel tanks, ship hulls and viaducts,” continued Grupa MPT.
The WELDING exhibition is dedicated to the latest material joining technologies. This is where innovative welding systems meet automation, focusing on durability and safety in modern production. Visitors will be able to watch live robot welding demonstrations.
The DEMOBUS zone is an outdoor exhibition that presents industrial automation solutions in an accessible demonstration format, using specialised buses. In 2026, the Tool Zone, the Industrial Metrology Zone and the Industrial Application Zone( companies offering solutions from the IT sector) will also be launched.
Looking to the future
“ In 2026, the topic of artificial intelligence in industry will be strongly highlighted— we expect it to be a programme hit. We are also continuing the success of the European Science Fair, which will bring together research institutes, universities, technology startups and businesses in one inspiring space,” added Anna Lemańska-Kramer, deputy director of the ITM trade show.
“ Companies that effectively implement innovations, optimise processes and respond to new customer expectations will strengthen their competitive position. Progressive digitalisation will be extremely important— the development of AI solutions, edge computing and MES / SCADA systems will support the modernisation of machinery. In addition, the green transformation is crucial i. e. the emphasis on energy efficiency and the Circular Economy( CE), which will force design changes in machines and devices. We expect exports to increase, as the growing competitiveness of Polish producers should result in a greater presence on foreign markets. ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE 2026 will be a living showcase of these innovations,” confirmed Miłosz Jankowiak, new director of ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE.
The FOCAST exhibition accompanying the ITM trade show takes place every two years, so contact with the foundry industry is an important element of the Poznań trade show’ s strategy. Grupa MTP was the Silver Sponsor of Poland’ s National Foundry Day, an important meeting place for the industry, combined with a technical conference entitled‘ Foundry of Tomorrow – Sustainable Development, Innovation, Digital Future’ on 12 December 2025 in Krakow, Poland.
“ World-class exhibitors in production automation, metallurgy and metalworking, modern machines and technologies, an extensive programme of accompanying events and a unique atmosphere— all this makes ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE a must-see for professionals seeking current trends in key industries,” concluded Grupa MPT. n
