LAMIERA in 2023
The 22nd edition of LAMIERA in 2023 attracted 19,000 visits from manufacturing professionals in addition to 4,000 visitors from the ‘ Made in Steel ’ exhibition .
Over a total floor space of 40,000 square metres , 400 exhibiting companies ( of which 27 % were from outside Italy ) represented 22 countries . Unusually , it was held just one year after the previous edition of the show , which had been postponed for 12 months due to the COVID-19 public health emergency . Therefore , to recover its usual positioning in the odd years , the trade show did not follow its normal biennial schedule .
Out of the total number of visitors , 7.5 % were from outside Italy , representing 67 countries .
The largest delegations came from Albania ; Austria ; China ; Croatia ; France ; Germany ; Great Britain ; Spain ; Holland ; Poland ; Portugal ; Czech Republic ; Romania ; Slovenia ; Switzerland ; Tunisia ; Turkey and Hungary .
“ In the aisles of exhibition halls 13 and 15 ( among numerous visitors ) were also about fifty foreign operators from Egypt ; India ; Morocco ; Mexico ; Czech Republic ; Turkey ; the United States ; Uzbekistan and Vietnam . They were invited as incoming delegations , organised by UCIMU , in cooperation with the MAECI-Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation and the ICE - Italian Trade Agency , in addition to an independent delegation of over 30 Turkish end-users from Manisa . The ICE-Italian Trade Agency also set up an area dedicated to start-up companies at LAMIERA ,” confirmed UCIMU .
The exhibition featured a programme of about 40 meetings held at LAMIALAMIERA , the arena promoted by the UCIMU Foundation and developed with the support of the Lombardy Region . Digitalisation and sustainability were among the most discussed topics during the conferences arranged by the exhibitors and by the organisers of the trade show .
Eight hundred operators took part in the events hosted at the LAMIALAMIERA Arena in 2023 , in addition to 3,500 users that were remotely connected via live streaming .
The trade show reported the presence of about one hundred journalists and around one thousand students , invited as part of the UCIMU Academy initiative . Accompanied by their teachers , the students participated in free visits and stand tours guided by tutors from the association . n
