operations to be carried out without stopping the system, ensuring continuous rolling over two or three shifts,” it added.
The machine configuration was fully customised to Gemak’ s production requirements, ensuring seamless integration into the existing fabrication process.
Results and benefits
The investment in FACCIN HAV technology has already begun to deliver tangible, measurable advantages for Gemak. These include:
■ Increased forming capacity for thick and high-strength plates.
■ Enhanced pre-bending quality, reducing welding stress and rework.
■ Improved production efficiency for demanding delivery schedules.
■ Strengthened competitiveness in shipbuilding and offshore fabrication markets.
With decades of expertise and a strong track record in delivering complex marine and industrial projects, Gemak plays a strategic role in manufacturing large-scale steel structures( including hull sections, offshore structures and industrial structures).
“ The installation of the FACCIN Heavy Duty Variable Axis( HAV) plate rolling machine at Gemak’ s Altınova Shipyard clearly illustrates how advanced bending technology can not only support— but anticipate— the evolving needs of modern shipbuilding and offshore construction. By upgrading its plate-rolling capabilities, Gemak further consolidates its position as a modern, forward-looking shipyard— fully equipped to execute complex heavy fabrication projects in line with the most demanding international standards,” concluded FACCIN. n

FlexiVision One smart vision for part feeding

ARS Automation, a developer of flexible feeding solutions for industrial automation, has launched FlexiVision One, its latest generation vision system. It is designed to simplify configuration, enhance usability and significantly reduce commissioning time in automated production environments.
“ FlexiVision One is fully integrated with ARS Automation’ s FlexiBowl ® feeding systems, enabling a powerful combination of adaptive part feeding and intelligent vision guidance. This synergy allows manufacturers to handle a wide variety of components without mechanical changeovers, improving flexibility, reducing downtime and increasing overall equipment efficiency( OEE),” said ARS Automation.
“ At the core of FlexiVision One is a smart, user-centric interface, developed to overcome the usability limitations of traditional vision systems, and a new software environment. A key innovation is the integration of real-time feedback during recipe creation, allowing users to instantly validate parameters and optimise performance on the fly. This significantly reduces trial-and-error, minimises set-up mistakes and shortens time-to-production,” concluded the manufacturer.
The system supports precise part detection and positioning, making it suitable for high-mix, low-volume production, as well as applications requiring frequent format changes.

Spinning and flow forming

DENN exhibited at MACH 2026 in Birmingham( UK) from 20-24 April 2026, presenting its spinning and flow-forming technologies.
“ These processes enable controlled material deformation, allowing manufacturers to achieve precise geometries while maintaining consistency throughout production. In industrial environments where part requirements are increasingly demanding, process control and repeatability are key factors. Technologies such as spinning and

flow forming offer advantages in this respect, providing stable forming conditions and reducing variability between parts,” it said.
The Spanish manufacturer’ s CTA 2 is a CNC spin-forming and shear-forming lathe engineered for aerospace applications requiring dimensional accuracy and process stability. Its dual-slide configuration is designed to increase forming control enabling
tighter tolerances, deeper programmed passes and stable material flow compared to standard configurations.
Designed for hot forming, the machine includes an integrated unloading station to support efficient production flow. Production is managed through the latest version of DENN CAD-CAM, enabling graphical programming and cycle optimisation without stopping the machine. DENN machines can be integrated into automated production lines. n
