FACE TO FACE
Above and right: InspecVision’ s stand at EuroBLECH in Hanover( October 2024).
ISMR: Are there any products / technologies that you have released that you would like to discuss?
JA: Absolutely. We have just released the GAV( Guidance & Verification) system. It is an AI- powered system that can learn how to perform a manual operation by watching an operator build a part or assembly. It automatically creates work instructions for the task and projects them onto the work area for Augmented Reality( AR) guidance. Because the system can see in 3D, it can validate each step of the operation and record the entire process in 2D and 3D to help traceability.
ISMR: Congratulations on winning the prestigious King’ s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. Your overseas sales have grown by 126 % over the last three years. Please tell us how you have achieved this.
JA: Thank you, we’ re absolutely honoured. Our growth has been driven by focusing on product innovation. In that time, we launched a lower cost Planar system( the P43.100) and a largescale OptiScan 3D( the OS2000) and recently launched our Guidance & Verification system.
We have built on our strong partnerships, particularly with our North-American distributor( PQI). We have also invested significantly in R & D, enabling us to deliver market-leading automated inspection systems that are accurate, easy to use and cost-effective.
ISMR: What will this award mean for InspecVision going forward?
JA: Winning the King’ s Award is a mark of excellence and a strong vote of confidence in our international growth and the quality of our operations. It is also a testament to the trust that our international customers place in us. It gives us added credibility nationally and internationally, and helps to open new doors with distributors, OEMs and manufacturers around the world. Most importantly, it’ s a proud moment for our team— a well-earned recognition of its hard work, resilience, innovation and commitment.

ISMR: You have product lines, we have also incorporated made significant augmented reality features to help strides with artificial operators visualise inspection results intelligence and and operator error in real-time augmented reality over the past few years. Please tell us about your latest developments with these technologies?

JA: We’ ve integrated AI into our GAV( Guidance and Verification) systems to enable intelligent defect detection. It is useful for customers as it creates automated work instructions for manual assemblies and offers step-by-step guidance to the operator, providing traceability for all processes.
On our Planar 2D and Opti-Scan 3D product lines, we have also incorporated augmented reality features to help operators visualise inspection results and operator error in real-time. This reduces interpretation errors and improves throughput. Together, these technologies are transforming quality control from a manual task into an intelligent, datadriven workflow.
