COMBi-CUBE electric forklift launched in Stuttgart

As Combilift celebrates 25 years of innovation , the company plans to ensure that 2023 will be a year to remember by launching multiple products across various exhibitions on a global scale . To kick off , its latest product ( the COMBi-CUBE ) was launched at the LogiMAT International Intralogistics show in Stuttgart , Germany . This new electric forklift model incorporates a host of technological and design features designed to not only enhance handling procedures but also offer a high level of driver comfort .
The new Combi-green shade contributes to improved safety as the trucks will be easily visible in their operational environment . Various ergonomic features were also highlighted by Combilift .
“ The driver ’ s position in the centre of the cab offers generous room and excellent allround visibility . The angle of the telescopic steering column can be adjusted and the Grammer MSG65 seat , combined with hydraulic cabin mounts , guarantees a comfortable ride . An adjustable arm rest is mounted to the seat suspension which incorporates a multi-function joystick and an LCD colour touchscreen ,” explained the company .
Combilift ’ s dynamic 360 steering that enables seamless directional change while on the move can be integrated into the COMBi- CUBE as an optional extra . Further features are the large rear wheel and rubber tyres on all three wheels . This means that this model is not restricted to super flat floors and is suitable for working indoors and out .
For quicker battery changeover during heavy shifts , two new easy-change roll-out batteries are provided ( Overall Design Copyright 015019216-0001 ).
Combilift CEO and Co-Founder , Martin McVicar , added : “ Our engineers and R & D department have been tirelessly preparing for a year of new launches , and the COMBi-CUBE is proof of our continued commitment to provide the best and most innovative handling solutions for our worldwide customers .” n

Wireless laser scanners

With Industry 4.0 and the interconnection developed so they can be adapted to support of machines , controls and software on the a variety of applications , whether they are shop floor constantly gathering pace , there mounted on production machines or adapted is an increasing requirement for inspection to metrology equipment . The LC15Dx has devices that can communicate wirelessly . particularly high accuracy , whereas the L100 The absence of cabling facilitates integration with its longer laser line is better suited to 3D closer to the point of manufacturing , scanning of large , complex , free-form shapes shortening the closed-loop feedback path of such as aerospace parts , dies , moulds and metrology data and speeding up response gears ,” outlined the manufacturer . time , while also eliminating having to plan for The non-contact scanners are designed to additional wiring . transmit in near real-time over a Wi-Fi link to

“ The wireless models have been ensure that what is being produced is always within tolerance . A primary application is to mount a wireless scanner in the spindle of a five-axis CNC mill , including hybrid variants capable of both additive and subtractive manufacturing . Such
platforms allow , for example , a worn turbine blade to be iteratively rebuilt , machined and measured until it meets the required specification ,” added Nikon .
“ Our new wireless scanning technology is ideal for supporting in-process quality control on machining centres and 3D printers , avoiding the time-consuming process of taking a component to a quality control room to be checked ( a practice that virtually precludes feedback of measurement data to production ). There are numerous other target markets as well . The hardware could be adapted for use on coordinate measuring machines , robots or other CNC machines that lack suitable cabling for retrofitting an optical sensor . Again , it depends on what the equipment manufacturer or integrator needs ,” highlighted Nikon product manager , Kristof Peeters .
A recent development under Nikon ’ s Digital Manufacturing banner is closer cooperation between IMBU and the corporation ’ s Digital Solutions Business Unit ( DSBU ), which has launched a series of optical additive and subtractive manufacturing solutions for processing a wide variety of materials to submicron surface finish . n
