Surface finishing partnership
Flinkenberg Steel, part of the Oy Flinkenberg Ab group, specialises in processing heavy steel plates and serves clients in major building, infrastructure and concrete construction sectors. It has significantly upgraded its finishing capabilities by recently integrating two EMC machines: the Rotoflex M1350 and the Mercury M650.
“ EMC is efficient. In the test we ran, 1,500 pieces were processed through the EMC Rotoflex 1350 line in just 45 minutes. During this time, the pieces underwent full cleaning, deburring and edge rounding,” confirmed Pasi Närvänen, Sales Director, Flinkenberg Steel.
“ The Rotoflex is the largest in its category, specifically designed to process large radius parts( R2mm) with high-throughput operations. Key technical features include 1350mm working width and three processing units that enable simultaneous deslagging, deburring and edge rounding in one pass for advanced finishing,” outlined EMC.
For stainless steel processing, Flinkenberg also adopted EMC’ s Mercury line, used exclusively for deburring stainless-steel parts. Both machines are controlled via a user-friendly control panel translated into Finnish, which simplifies operation and supports seamless integration.
