Ambitious targets
Jordão has also set ambitious targets for its future. Its management has already paved the way. Jordão has acquired two buildings next to its existing factory, creating 10,000 square metres of new production space( the largest investment in the company’ s history). This was an important step towards achieving Jordão’ s growth strategy.
Interest in bespoke chiller cabinets is also growing, according to the company.
“ Food retail, in particular, has become more important in recent times,” explained Lobo. Customers in the catering sector( such as hotels, restaurants and cafés) remain highly important to Jordão. However, the company now also needs to cater to the needs of smaller supermarkets.
Jordão’ s philosophy is to evolve by recognizing market trends in food sales and display, and by utilising technologies and materials that meet the demands for better technological performance( without compromising the aesthetic considerations necessary to the optimum display of food items). The ability to personalise and customise its display solutions to meet its customers’ requirements( in displaying food items ranging from patisserie and bread to deli and meat) has been a cornerstone of its success and drives its sustained year-on-year growth.

Jordão received recognition at the Expresso SME Caixa TOP 2024 Awards. It was awarded the SME Employment-Industry Award, acknowledging its sustained growth over the past three years and the significant increase in its workforce.
