New CEO unanimously selected for Stellantis

Stellantis NV’ s Board of Directors has unanimously selected Antonio Filosa as its new Chief Executive Officer( CEO). It aimed to hold an Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting for Antonio Filosa to be elected to the Board to serve as an executive director of the company.

Meanwhile, to give him full authority and ensure an efficient transition, the Board has granted him CEO powers from 23 June 2025.
“ Antonio Filosa has led Stellantis in both North and South America. During his time as Chief Operating Officer of South America, he took the FIAT brand to a market-leading position and then significantly grew the Peugeot, Citroën, Ram and Jeep ® brands. As a result, Stellantis increased its clear leadership in the region. His work on the creation of the Pernambuco plant, one of South America’ s largest automotive hubs, launched Jeep ® in Brazil, which quickly became the brand’ s leading market outside the United States,” added the company.
As Jeep ® CEO, Antonio Filosa expanded the brand’ s global presence, including in Europe. He was promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer, Americas, in December 2024. Since his appointment, he has initiated the strengthening of U. S. operations, including by significantly reducing excessive dealer inventory, reorganizing the leadership team, driving the process of introducing new products and powertrains, and increasing dialogue with dealers, unions and suppliers. In January 2025, he was named Chief Quality Officer.
John Elkann will continue in his role as Executive Chairman when Antonio Filosa takes up his position as Chief Executive Officer on 23 June 2025. At that time, Antonio Filosa will also announce Stellantis’ new leadership team. AMUK welcomes Craig Pyser as Chair

Additive Manufacturing UK( AMUK), the UK trade association representing the additive manufacturing and 3D printing sectors, has appointed Craig Pyser, CEO of AMufacture, as its new chair. The announcement follows the departure of outgoing chair Stewart Lane, who stepped down in April to concentrate on his duties as Vice President of the Manufacturing Technologies Association( MTA), AMUK’ s parent organisation.
Lane has served as AMUK’ s chair since 2022, helping to oversee the successful integration of AMUK into the MTA’ s cluster of trade associations and events. On leaving, he recommended Pyser as his successor, citing his extensive experience, close industry connections and thorough knowledge of the association. Pyser is the CEO and co-founder of AMufacture, a private equitybacked contract manufacturer specialising in industrial 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
Established in 2014, AMUK aims to establish the UK as“ a world leader in the development and adoption of additive and 3D printing technology.” It is part of the Manufacturing Technologies Association( MTA) cluster in the UK. n

Two industry pioneers win robotics awards

The Association for Advancing Automation( A3) has announced two long-time industry pioneers as the winners of the 2025 Joseph F. Engelberger Robotics Awards, a prestigious global robotics honour.
“ Stuart‘ Stu’ C. Shepherd, Co-Founder and President of Shepherd Solutions Inc., was selected as the winner for his distinguished industry leadership. He was recognized for more than 46 years of transforming manufacturing in the Americas through robotic automation and capital equipment-related new business development. This includes past service as chairperson of both the Robotics Industries Association( RIA), now A3, and the

Association for Advancing Automation( A3),” said the association.
Dr. Peter Corke, Distinguished Professor Emeritus at Queensland University of
Technology, was selected as this year’ s award winner in the education category for his impact on robotics education and research. This includes the creation of the widely used open source“ Robotics Toolbox” software, authoring the best-selling textbook“ Robotics, Vision and Control” and developing the Robot Academy online video resource.
The winners are voted on by the past chairs of the RIA. A3 administers the award. Each winner receives a US $ 5,000 honorarium, a commemorative medallion and a plaque. n
